Job title: CASS Assurance Administrator – 12-month FTC

Location: Glasgow

 

A vacancy has arisen for a CASS Assurance Administrator to join the CASS department in Glasgow on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

 

Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key CASS operational controls, ensuring compliance with FCA CASS requirements through the timely completion of reconciliations, effective risk management, and continuous improvement of processes and controls.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing daily internal and external client money reconciliations accurately and within required timescales.
  • Completing internal and external custody asset reconciliations within daily, weekly and monthly timescales.
  • Completing weekly managed fund reconciliations and resolving identified discrepancies.
  • Investigating, resolving and escalating reconciliation discrepancies, shortfalls, excesses and control exceptions.
  • Producing accurate and timely management information.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of price and market data feeds.
  • Completing CASS controls accurately and within required timescales.
  • Identifying trends, recurring issues and control weaknesses.
  • Providing first-line guidance and support on CASS-related matters.
  • Building effective working relationships with stakeholders and service providers.
  • Supporting audits, assurance reviews, regulatory requests and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail. Experience of reconciliations within financial services is desirable, as is knowledge of FCA CASS requirements. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, and be able to work effectively within a deadline-driven environment.

 

It will be a requirement for the successful candidate to complete satisfactory reference checks (including, but not limited to, a DBS check, financial checks and employment references).
