Investment Operations Administrator

Location: Chichester/Hybrid working (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office)
Full Time

A vacancy has arisen for an Investment Operations Administrator to join our Operations team.

 

Job Description: The purpose of this role is to provide a professional support service across the Operations department and the main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Client on boarding and managing/maintaining client data
  • Contracts and Settlements
    • UK CREST and overseas trade processing and settlement
    • Liaising with unit trust administrators including registrars, custodians and fund accountants on related contracts and settlement activity.
    • Free of payment transfers administration
  • Client Cash Receipts and Payments for all clients
  • Dividends & Corporate Actions processing
  • Ensuring effective liaison with other teams and departments where required
  • Ensuring that accurate controls and records are maintained as instructed by the Investment Operations Team Leader.
  • Maintaining internal controls to ensure that all funds are accounted for in accordance with internal and external audit standards.

 

The Person:

 

The job holder is likely to be educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.  Experience gained in Financial Services from working within an Investment Management environment would be preferable, although on the job training will be provided.  Understanding of the relevant FCA regulatory requirements and knowledge of internal policies, procedures and systems would be an advantage.

 

It is essential that the job holder has high attention to detail, is organised and able to prioritise a changing workload.  Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) are also required as well as being able to improve procedures and efficiency within the team.

 

It will be a requirement for the successful candidate to complete satisfactory reference checks (including, but not limited to, a DBS check, financial checks and employment references).
